For Better or For Worse Newsletter
December 2008
=================== Greetings from the Team: ===================
Hi! Thanks for choosing to receive our newsletter! We hope you have a great December, safe holidays, and a tolerably short winter (for those of you in the northern hemisphere). The lake behind the studio is just beginning to freeze; ice fishing season will begin in just a few weeks and the toques are starting to come out of the mothballs.
=================== Studio Happenings: ===================
Happy Holidays! We're closing the studio on the 18th of December and reopening on the 5th of January, so please bear with us while we enjoy some well-deserved R&R. We will return your phone calls and handle your customer service requests as soon as possible upon our return.
December 1st is the last day for Christmas orders from our store, please. We will continue to fill and ship your orders until the 17th of December, but we can't guarantee delivery in time for Christmas if you order after the 1st. Thanks for your interest in Lynn's work!
It's with pleasure that we report a change in our plans - 2009's wall calendar will not be the final one after all. Wyman Publishing, the maker of our popular calendars, has done a beautiful job of creating a 2010 calendar that we can be proud of, so we will be continuing the line. You can still order your 2009 calendars here: http://store.fborfw.com/catalog/ Keep an eye out for another calendar next year!
We've just made The Bestest Present, Lynn's beloved animated special, available on DVD. As of last night, we've sold out of these DVDs temporarily, but we'll have more made up and will be selling them here: http://store.fborfw.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=122
On Friday December 5, Lynn will be signing books at Coles Bookstore in North Bay's Northgate Square from 6-9pm. If you're in our area, stop in and meet Lynn!
================== November's Giveaway: ===================
Just correctly answer the questions below and we'll enter you in the draw - the prize is a limited-edition FBorFW print (from a print run of only 2000), and we'll select 5 lucky winners at the end of the month. Send your answers to fborfw@aloeroot.com with the subject line December Trivia Contest. We regret that this contest is not open to residents of Quebec for legal reasons which we don't really comprehend.
And now, the questions...You can find all the trivia answers on our website.
1. Name all of the people in the collage labelled "Who's Who" on this page: http://www.fborfw.com/features/hybridwho/
2. What did Jean Baker's father do for a living?
3. What's at the center of the Mtigwaki logo?
4. What year was it when Lynn discovered that she was pregnant with Aaron?
