Nope. Just Annie telling an outdated joke about those crazy health-nuts at pretty much the same time aerobics went mainstream.
Panel 1: As she and Elly look at a book called "Eat Thin", she suggests that they try this new-fangled diet. I knew that she was supposed to be the traditionalist housewife but talking like a grizzled 1890s prospector is pushing it.
Panel 2: As Annie goes to pick up her child, Elly reads the diet: watercress, celery, spinach, poached fish, boiled chicken and plain yoghurt. It should be noted that this sort of diet had been around longer than either of them.
Panel 3: Elly then says this this is an award winning diet and wonders why.
Panel 4: Annie says it's because anyone who actually has the inner strength to follow this to the letter deserves one.
Summary: Depriving oneself of fatty foods is a big, fat sacrifice.
