Well, thanks to poteet, at least I don't have to wait until one in the morning to type the summary.
Panel 1: We start off with Mike in his shirtsleeves yelling YAAAAAYYY!! WE GOT A PUPPY!!!, thereby setting up the plot for the week.
Panel 2: We then see the happy family walking home. Mike is clinging to Elly's coat as she carries the puppy and John has Liz. Elly's as enthusiastic about this as the rest of them. After all, she just rescued this little guy from "certain death."
Panel 3: As a stream of urine goes down the front of her shirt, her expression changes to angered surprise. Reason: she just remembered she'd be the one training him not to go on the carpet. Insert remark about her expecting children and puppies to come toilet trained out of the womb here.
Panel 4: Speaking of inserting things, JSF shoves both feet into his piehole when he allows as how she mentioned possibly having another baby.
Summary: We may have a new-run in between this "masterwork" and the one where Elly grouses about how John is more attentive to the dog than his kids. What we do know is that Elly's love for Farley faded in seconds when she realized that he didn't come pre-housebroken.
ETA: The new month brings us a new banner celebrating Farley the puppy.
