Well, paint me green and call me Gumby! We got Annie weaving in and out of denial.
Panel 1: We start off with her telling Elly in an unusual manner that John's hiring an attractive hygienist is no big deal.
Panel 2: As long as he isn't cheating on her, it doesn't matter what the receptionist looks like. Marriage, you see, is all a matter of trust.
Panel 3: She herself would go nuts if she didn't trust Steve. Elly agrees that trust is indeed the key. Annie responds by echoing the initial premise.
Panel 4: She then says that if that trust was misplaced, she'd change all the locks.
Summary: Too bad we know that when she did find out, she changed the locks in such a manner as to keep him in instead of out. Otherwise, she'd be a lot more credible. Instead, she looks like what she is: a woman who lives in denial and threatens a vengeance she wasn't strong enough to carry out when the blind trust she advocates was proved to be unwarranted.
ETA Well, Lynn is starting to live up to her promise that Farley would appear this month. Now, all she has to do is have him show up in the strip.
