It's Day Five of the exciting, not-to-be-missed "Mike gets a fish" story arc. I wonder what next week's thrilling adventure might be? Could it be "Liz starts teething" or (I hope) "John gets a fungus"? We'll have to see, won't we?

Maybe later. Right now, we gotta watch Mike do something stupid.

Panel 1: We start off with Mike sitting on the porch licking a lolly-pop. As Lawrence walks up to him he asks him how it's going. Lawrence says "not bad" and asks after Fred.

Panel 2: The Delicate-Genius-that-is-yet-to-be explains that he guesses Fred is okay but it's hard to tell. Even though they put pebbles and other things in his bowl, he isn't all that much more exciting like a puppy would be.

Panel 3: Lawrence says it's too bad he never gets to go outside. This puts an idea in Mike's head.

Panel 4: As an angrily baffled Elly looks on, Mike and Lawrence have put Fred's bowl in his wagon and are taking him for a stroll.

Summary: Kool-Aid Nation are certainly going to put this on their fridge. As for me, I can't wait till Farley gets here and we can get to the point: the beatification of an ill-treated dog by the negligent dunces who didn't have time for him.
