Well, it's the third day of the Settlepocalypse. Will howtheduck's assumption that tomorrow's strip feature Meredith helping Mike with his shoes and making a joke about Shinola be correct or will it be another implausible pairing of Foobs making silly wordplay while wearing retina-searing colors?

No, it won't. It'll instead be a celebration of political correctness.

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the park. Mike, in a lavender-gray tux with teal bow-tie and cummerbund (puke), is telling Token Two-fer Lawrence that he's again outdone himself with the garishly ugly flowers. Lawrence, who's probably color blind along with being a biracial gay, says it's always a pleasure to be helpful.

Panel 2: He explains that there isn't anything he wouldn't do for the Foobs; the friendship and support they've given him is major.

Panel 3: Mike reminds him he's helped out with two weddings and that Canada allows same-sex marriage by asking him when he and his partner are going to take the plunge.

Panel 4: In a failed attempt to appease those who don't support gay marriage, he says that he and Nick already consider themselves married.

Panel 5: It is nice to have the option available, though.

Summary: There's probably an alternate version of this strip for use in markets that are more conservative in their outlook. After all, she had back up strips that had Mira bitching about the flowers instead of Lawrence being gay.

ETA: Not only has the site changed its color scheme to lavender and teal, there's a banner that indicates that we're getting ready for the wedding. Given that it's called "weddingprepone", we're about to see two more, followed by an ugly ass banner for the last week of the strip.
