Well, here we are at mid-week and one month to go before the reload. I'd say that this week is the calm before the storm, so to speak. Starting Monday, I'd say that Lynn plans on wrapping this mess up.

Here we go with another punny strip.

Panel 1: We see Elly welcome a returning Iris home. Iris returns her greeting.

Panel 2: Iris thanks Elly for staying with Jim and that she appreciated the time away. A nastier person would have added that it took her long enough.

Panel 3: She then says that Jim is probably tired of looking at her face day-in, day-out. He says "No" to this. After all, he needs all the stability he can get.

Panel 4: She responds to this by reminding him that he's stuck with her. She reinforces this by using synonyms for adhesion.

Panel 5: He responds by thought-bubbling a pun about how the feeling is mucilage. I wonder how many people will get the joke.

Summary: A sweet enough strip but it's one that should have been run a long time ago instead of having to watch flashbacks.

ETA: Watch Elly and Iris agree Jim is finally healthy enough to go to Sunset Acres.
