Well, it's the end of the week and, with it, the end of this part of the Sunset Acres story arc. Let's hope that Lynn doesn't have a character use clunky wordplay in an attempt to keep her spirits up.

Not exactly, but she does have April not realize things. She likes to have April not realize things. That's because her fans fear and hate teenagers because they represent a future they will not live to experience.

Panel 1: Iris notices that Jim needs to lie down after his standing ovation. April states that that they have yet to eat dessert, thereby not realizing that an old man might not even have the strength to sit through a meal.

Panel 2: Iris skillfully changes the subject by pointing at that Jim loves to hear her play guitar so it would be a good idea if she did so.

Panel 3: April asks Iris what she'd like to hear and will do her best to play the requested Golden Oldie.

Panel 4: The tune she's about to play is really ancient to her as it comes from 1985. She means well but she's hazy on what exactly a woman like Iris would mean by an old song. Iris's sudden realization of this fact leaves her slightly amused as well as slightly shocked.

Summary: A hat trick of decent material. Who'd'a thunkit? I don't even object to the slam at the end because she did say she was unclear as to what Iris meant.
