Panel 1: And we're back to the presnt day. Connie leads off this prelude to another series of incoherent flashbacks by noting that they were hardworking young mothers. Elly states that since she didn't have a paying job, she cannot be said to have worked. Way to internalize John's bullshit, bitch.
Panel 2: Connie reminds her that she had three children whose raising she bungled to which Elly responds Connie screwed up solo.
Panel 3: Connie wonders how they managed to keep up with it all to which a hatefully self-congratulatory and delusional Elly responds that they were tough. I know. Her eyes are brown because she's full of shit.
Panel 4: The proof of that is her listing a whole bunch of positive qualities she did not have. Where was her responsibilty when she saw April open that gate and did nothing about it? Her reliability when she could never be consistent about anything? Her practicality when she set herself up to fail and determination when she caved in to Mike's nastiness? Connie compounds the self-aggrandizing stupidity by adding in the fact they were supposedly loving and forgiving when they were neither.
Panel 5: Elly's response about how hard it was to fake caring about her family tells me we're in for another week or so of looking at her bellow at her children and husband over nitpicky, trivial things and simper about being a victim.
ETA: Comics Curmudgeon warned us we're in for a horrible week. As I've said before, the male snarkers should wear a cup.
ETA 2: Your humble servant is the latest victim of Service Pack One for Vista. That means that until I'm back on my cybernetic feet again later in the week, regnad_kcin or whoever else wants it will have to set up the daily thread.
