It's finally starting to look like spring. That means the dogs can get out of the basement and April can stop moping. I swear, that child's attitutde is getting worse every day what with talking about the mound of homework her teachers supposedly assign. I mean, she's joking, right? All the ranting about homework being assigned for its own sweet sake has got to be so much noise on the TV. They used the same tone to rant about fluoride in the drinking water so it's tempest in the teapot time. Speaking of annoying alarmists, That Woman decided Robin needed help hearing so she gave him some annoying gadget so other children could laugh at him. I tried to help save him from getting teased at playgroup when she barged in with her two cents worth. My God, it was like Mother came back from the grave carping about how if I don't know what I'm talking about, I should just shut my mouth before I make a fool of myself. She then made a nasty remark about how she couldn't wait to "cure" them of eating in the supposedly-disgusting way I do. And do you know what? Deanna actually took her side after all I'd done for her. Michaerl, too! I tell you, it's like they don't appreciate the sacrifices I made on their behalf. At least Elizabeth does. That's the one bright spot in another disappointing month. All the hard work, all the pain, all the dirt and noise and arguments are paying off because she's finally engaged to theat nice Anthony Caine. She'll have a nice, steady, regular life with him and he'll finally have the wife he deserves, no matter what that clod Ted thinks. According to him, Anthony has been playing on our sympathies for years and that flighty, jealous PERSON he married is the real victim. He just doesn't get it. I mean, what do you expect of a man who said that people thought John had an affair with his cousin Fiona? I won't let his negativity spoil things, though. I've come too far, been made to give up too much not to receive some sort of compensation for the pain. Yep. things are finally starting to go my way for once. Stay tuned for further developments.
Yours,
Elly.
