Panel One: Okay, she's not bailing on the Halloween gig, that's cool. Gerald looks like his face is melting off in this panel, or like he's slowly morphing into....actually, he kind of resembles Deanna. And the way he's positioned makes it look like he's leaning against the panel edge, which is pretty funny to consider.
Panel Two: Oh, yeah, because we all know that performing with Rebecca is a sure ticket to stardom. All right, so I can't snark too hard here; April's actually viewing the situation fairly realistically. He probably does have a better shot because of that. Those Lips of Loveliness are rearing their head. Also, does anyone else think that Gerald's nose looks like a Smurf's?
Panel Three: Pardon me while I dig out my violin. This panel reads like the portion of a soap opera dedicated to pulling in the younger viewers. "Can Gerald accept the fact that April's passion for music doesn't stretch as far as his ambition? Tune in tomorrow...or at least to the next panel."
Panel Four: Because apparently, he can't accept that. I'm a little flummoxed by this. April doesn't want to be a professional musician and therefore, that automatically dooms their relationship? Not that I'm not pleased -- I've been gunning for the end of that little train wreck of a romance ever since the whole roadside incident -- but I'm startled. I really wanted April to be the one to kick Gerald to the curb, not the other way around.
And in Coffee Talk: Which one of you is Stori? That post rocked! Michelle's isn't glurg-tastic either, but Stori's is really well done. I knew they wouldn't post mine, which basically amounted to "These are not real people and they don't need your prayers," but I would have laughed myself silly if they had.
