Panel 2: What's funny? Elly has to pay the bill?
Panel 3: Oh, jeez: John in his train overalls. At first I thought they were regular denim overalls, then I saw the stripes. And what a choice he has. Ask what's wrong and get a sticky-outy-tongue meltdown, or don't ask and have to dodge that black thought cloud all night.
Panel 4: Oh, wow, we've never heard about this before. And Elly is so young-acting, I can't believe anyone would think she qualifies for a seniors' discount. That said, I hope Liz and April were giggling strictly at Elly's indignation, and not at "Hee hee, Mom's OLD!"
Panel 5: Well, isn't she?
Panel 6: My god! John, that's brilliant! Seriously: that's the best answer you could give!
Panel 7: Well, if that's physically true, that's kind of sad. I know Cookie Monster does not look like he did when we met, but that's because he's improved. (Not that he looked bad to begin with, of course.) But John looked dorky when the strip began, and he really hasn't changed. And honestly, shouldn't he have less hair by now? Or gray hair?
Panel 8: But if Elly's okay with it, that's all that matters.
Panel 9: Uh...okay. Elly was once young, and attractive, but exciting is not something she's EVER been.
Panel 10: And they're going to get the senior discount.
Panel 11: Hey, Connie said the same thing a year or two ago. If it saves you money, roll with it.
