The promised one where Connie grants Elly permission to cower behind physical impairment when being called on being a short-tempered and unyielding bitch who was born filled with self-pity and resentment.
Panel 1: We get to why Elly is really complaining about being ollllllld and useless when Connie asks if she's started to enter menopause. Since it took years for Lynn to believe in perimenopause, we get that stupid big M euphemism.
Panel 2: She asks her if she's had mood swings, sleepless nights or hot flashes. Elly tries to plea-bargain away being a hormone-addled loon.
Panel 3: We set things up by having her ask Connie how she can tell if it's menopause because it's not bothering her.
Panel 4: We get a smart remark about it bothering other people.
