We transition into a sort of "April is the bane of daycare workers' existence" thing because she hates the taste of canned pasta.
Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly getting April ready for daycare. When John asks how she is, Elly says that the button has not been 'returned' yet.
Panel 2: As April sings about the button in her tummy, Elly says that she has to warn the GIRLS at the daycare center to watch out for it. (Note....it's fine if she calls adult women girls but John cannot.)
Panel 3: The woman at the daycare reassures her because children will swallow any damn thing. This insouciance does not reassure me but what do I know? I want to cancel childhood by wanting to make sure they survive it.
Panel 4: We get to the joke because April doesn't want the canned speaghetti.
Summary: Is funny because April turns down good food after eating a button.
