The one where John has an unpleasant reminder that Elly is middle-aged too.
Panel 1: John reminds Elly's silhouette that everything is changing. Mike is seventeen, Liz is in junior high (which dates the strip severely because he should be saying "middle school" if this is happening in 2022) and now April is in daycare.
Panel 2: Even the house is changing.
Panel 3: He sets up the punchline by musing that it must seem as if the two of them are in a time warp where they're the only ones not changing.
Panel 4: We lurch messily into the whole "40 is the new 65" meme that has Elly look like John's mom or something; this causes him to retract his comment.
Summary: Aside from some grey at the temples, 1979 John is identical to 2008 John, both physically and temperamentally. He's a pea-brained, insensitive and mildly authoritarian man-child who needs weening from his mother from beginning to end.
