Panel 1: Well, at least April looks tall for once. Granted, that has a lot to do with the juxtaposition with the Patterspawn, but she's also tall relative to the layout of the house. Love how she appears to be the de facto caregiver for her neice and nephew. And Deanna is well and truly drugged if she takes this as a victory. NOW is not the time to quit, fergossakes.
Panel 2: Holy breeding hips on Mike. And of COURSE he has an outline for his second book. At least he's making contact with one of his kids. Not sure why Deanna looks so downcast, though.
Panel 3: And more foreshadowing. Yeah, they really don't have to go anywhere, do they. And interesting that Mike puts Deanna's earning in terms of how it defines him. Not, "Gee, I'm glad I have a wife who can support a family." No, it's, "I'm going to be emasculated!" And what did he do, just toss Robin away and back to April? ETA: And Deanna's lips are off the hook. They look like those fake candy lips, for cryin' out loud.
Panel 4: Oooooooooooooooooh. That's probably as close as we'll ever come to Deanna getting fed up. Although again, it's probably a matter of her fretting that she might lose the Delicate Genius to a heart attack.
