The one that explains why John goes crazy with the punishments: he's frightened to death of his kids.
Panel 1: John says nonsense about how the only time they fight like this is when they punish the children. Usually, it's because Elly is being an irrational idiot who has to be talked down but since Mike played with John's toys, it's the other way round.
Pannl 2: Elly's reply is a damned lie about how she hates punishing children. She likes that fine but hates feeling like the bad guy. John says that theay have to work together as a team on this.
Panel 3: If one of them gives, they'll just be overrun by the unstuppable monsters determined to argue with and destroy them so they have to be seen as a rock wall of not listening.
Panel 4: When they go to his room, they look as if they're about to be sent to their deaths.
Summary: If you were to actually tell John to his stupid face that he lives in fear of his children, he'd deny it to his last sour breath. He doesn't want to admit that any more than he's gonna admit that he set Mike up to fail again.
