Panel 1: It appears that back in 1992, someone had supplied Lynn with the car ads; this is because Mike is walking down Main Street checking out cars and pointing out a weakness in Lynn's attempt to modernize things. While we're supposed to looking at late model cars, I'm not sure they make some of the models he's admiring.
Panel 2: This continues on for a while.
Panel 3: He then boasts that if he sees a car, he can guess the make and model. As he puffs himself up, Martha greets him.
Panel 4: Since he has car on the brain, he angers her because he has to forcefully reminded of her first name. He'll never see the break-up coming. He's an ass. He deserves this.
Summary: Leopards can't change their spots. Mike will never be anything other than an ass-scratching twerp who blames everyone but himself for his suffering because his takeaway is that expecting him to be blamed for anything 'means' that Martha is playing games with him.
