Panel 1: An hour or so after yesterday's punchline, Phil tells Georgia that it's too bad that they never thought to negotiate with terrorists beforehand because it proved Mencken's point about how for every problem, there's a solution that's simple, easy and wrong.
Panel 2: Phil marvels at having put up with months of incessant barking; Georgia marvels that they nearly came to blows over it.
Panel 3: She then notes that Bullard was really pleased to see him go and stupidly speculates that he knew Porker would be happier in the country. She then muses that he needed the money. Phil agrees with this stupid idea.
Panel 4: As we see Bullard tie up another unfortunate dog outside so he can extort money from rubes, Thinking-Impaired Phil finally wonders what he did with the cash.
Summary: Since the next time we see Phil talk about where he lives, he's moved away, the implication is he and Georgia fled a lynch mob because of his "cleverness". As for Bullard, he is never mentioned again.
