Snarky Candiru2

The one where John actually ends up seeing why April gets into trouble so readily.

Panel 1: We find ourselves watching John paint the house.

Panel 2: What he doesn't know is that April is wandering around loose. The Sarah Hunters of the world would have you believe that this is because children are naughty and do things that they should know not to do. Me, I subscribe to the theory that April doesn't have the blindest idea of what's going on and needs more supervision than she gets.

Panel 3: As he paints the house, April hasn't the least idea of what he's up to.

Panel 4: All she knows is that the palm of her hand is a funny color now. Since she is a baby, I fear for her safety because you just know she might lick it even if a dumbass thinks she 'knows' not to.

Panel 5: She wipes the paint onto her shirt.

Panel 6: She wipes it onto the grass.

Panel 7: She ends up covered in paint and grass stains.

Panel 8: As John goes inside to clean her off, he goes bug-eyed in horror and confusion when he hinds Elly on the phone telling Marian that she'd better let her go before April gets into trouble.

Summary: He might see what the problem is but he never does anything about the problem because Elly assures him that she pays attention. This makes him go back to his paper and puts April back in jeopardy.
