Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 16 January 2021

The one with the bad joke that inspired the title of one of Lynn's collections.

Panel 1: Elly observes that if she follows Connie's advice about leaving April in her crib, she yells but if she lets her crawl around unsupervised, she's okay.

Panel 2: As Elly diverts her attention, she thought-bubbles that as far as she knows, April hasn't gotten into trouble yet so things are fine. This is contrasted with April grabbing a handful of kibble out of Farley's dish.

Panel 3: This results in an untranslatable pun about things looking up as April and Farley look up at Elly.

Summary: We end the week with another reminder that when Elly says that a child causes trouble, she means that she is aware of that child's existence. If Elly doesn't know about a problem, she thinks that it doesn't exist....which explains an awful lot, doesn't it?
