The one where Elly times things by how long she can keep April distracted.

(Original Publication Date, 3 June 1991)

Panel 1: Lynn sells the "Elly is a busy mother with noooooo help and nooooo time for herself" message by depicting her as a sort of whirling dervish. We see her checking dinner, talking on the phone, watering a plant while wiping down a counter, mending something and carrying her badge of office as housewifea load of laundry.

Panel 2: When she's interrupted by off-panel crying, Elly gasps for breath when telling herself that it's amazing what she can get done in ten minutes.

Panel 3: Totally Defeated And Thus Eyeless Elly winds up the Swing-A-Tot as the cruel tyrant who demands all of her attention looks on.

Panel 4: Elly rushes off to the battle against chaos and tells herself "That's how long the wind-up swing lasts."

Summary: What's going on here is, of course, the end result of slave labour not working out and also mothers being barred out lest Elly be replaced. This leads to a stupid epiphany Thursday that does not take.
