Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 8 May 2018

Having been made aware of Farley's injury, Elly is praised for more or less being his mommy.

(Strip Number 5125, Original Publication Date, 9 May 1989)

Panel 1: Having noticed that Farley is licking a spot on his right front leg, Mike calls Elly's attention to the fact that something appears to be wrong with him.

Panel 2: What's wrong with him is that he's got a rather deep cut on said leg. Elly wonders how it happened.

Panel 3: As she tries to figure out what happened, Elly tells the kids to get some warm water, disinfectant and some scissors because they're going to have to cut away his fur.

Panel 4: As Elly tends to Farley, Liz compliments her by saying that she's the best mother a dog could have.

Summary: Too bad she's not the most attentive mom a kid could have. Otherwise, Farley wouldn't have had to be tended to. Also, the best mother a dog could have would immediately seek medical attention instead of taking the wait-and-see approach like Elly did.
