Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 19 December 2017

As he shows off his prized jerry-rigged piece of crap milk mixer to his nephew, it's hard to tell which idiot is stupider here: Mike for wearing good clothes when dealing with barnyard animals or Danny for not warning him to change into something he doesn't mind getting dirty in the first place.

(Strip Number 5062, Original Publication Date, 20 December 1988)

Panel 1: It would appear that Mike has been press-ganged into helping Danny feed the calves. As they get ready to do so, Mike points out something that looks a heck of a lot like an old time washing machine and asks why it's in the barn.

Panel 2: Instead of simply stating that he'd cannibalized an old wringer washer and turned into into a milk mixing device, Danny goes Full Hayseed and calls it his wonder-whiz, home-built, personally designed milk-mixin'contraption.

Panel 3: He then tells him to take the pails of milk and hang them on the nearby stalls. You would think that Bleached Hayseed Moron Thanos would tell Mike to make sure that the calves don't knock the buckets over and spill the contents all over everywhere like someone with brains and foresight but you'd be wrong.

Panel 4: Since neither of them have much in the way of brains, it only occurs to the bearded road-apple to ask Mike if he's wearing anything good AFTER a lowing calf head-butts the pail and spills its contents onto a horrified boy.

Summary: Not only is Danny a terrible host who expects his guests to become free labour, the comic strip Cruikshank lacks the sense to do something smart like warn people to dress appropriately. I wonder what the Hell the Donny did to cheese Lynn off like this.
