Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

As Elly hunkers down for the night, we get some threatened ritual Farley abuse when she confuses him for a cartoon animal again.

(Strip Number 4924, Original Publication Date, 1 February 1988)

Panel 1: We find ourselves back at the Pattermanse as Elly turns on a radio and notices that since she spent a more time at Connie's than she should have, the place is ice cold.

Panel 2: As she lights the fireplace, we wonder how long she did spend because the newsreader says that now that the worst of the storm is over, utility crews are working their hardest to restore electricity.

Panel 3: He then says to break out the candles because in the meantime, they're playing some romantic music suitable for cuddling with a special someone.

Panel 4: As Farley leans over and leers at her, Elly tells him that if he kisses her, he's dead.

Summary: Yeah. Great. More of Farley the punching bag. Why WERE people so eager to see the family kick him in the rump out of frustration anyhow? Also, why do I wonder if her pipes are going to freeze and burst due to negligence?
