Snarky Candiru2

Wednesday, 25 January 2017

We come to the second part of what I call the "Warren Fail" series of strips when Canadian Content Mr Fogarty does not react well when the idea of spending a night with the children he so clearly detests is floated.

(Strip Number 4921, Original Publication Date, 26 January 1988)

Panel 1: We shift focus to the school; as the blizzard intensifies, Mike finds the white-out conditions to be ever neat because you can't see nuthin'.

Panel 2: For some baffling reason or another, he's delighted by the possibility that since buses have been canceled, they might just have to spend the night at school.

Panel 3: He then tells Lawrence that he should ask Mr Warren what he thinks about this 'delightful' idea; Lawrence has already done so.

Panel 4: As Old Man Warren bangs his head on the panel wall in the hopes that he'll kill himself to save himself from spending the night with his students, Lawrence meekly states that the old goat is thinking about it.

Summary: I don't know which teacher Lynn is savaging here. I don't know what he did to piss her off. All I do know is that the faculty does not acquit itself well during this arc.
