Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 27 September 2016

John takes rather strong exception to Mike's refusal to be browbeaten into doing his homework.

(Strip Number 4867, Original Publication Date, 29 September 1987)

Panel 1: After Liz leaves, Mike sits down and throws a stupid-ass tantrum about how he doesn't want to do his homework.

Panel 2: In place of the speech about how if he'd use the energy screaming "I don't wanna do this" doing this, he'd be done by now, John tells Mike that homework is meant to discipline the mind and teach responsibility and time management skills.

Panel 3: Since he won't be deflected from his infantile yowling that nooooooobody looooooooooves him because they make him do things he doesn't feel like doing, Mike screams that he doesn't care and that Mr Bergan can shove his [expletive deleted] homework up his [expletive deleted]. (Note: Lynn says 'nose' but you can tell what he's really saying.) This use of profanity and disrespect angers John.

Panel 4: John bodily picks him up and states that he's going to demonstrate another form of discipline.

Summary:  John is half-right today because Mike does need to have his attitude adjusted. The problem is that I remember the ugly incident where John pulled April's chair from her desk while she was still on it because she and Elly had words and it was on April to do the right thing OR ELSE. Five'll get you ten that Trash Bag Johnny thinks that this is probably what he thought April was doing when Elly screamed that she QUIT MOTHERHOOD again because he's afraid of his kids and he's too stupid, gutless and arrogant to ask questions. Hey, Mike! Thanks for setting up the unborn to get threatened, you jerk.
