Snarky Candiru2

Monday, 27 June 2016

Connie's overconfident comment about giving her blended family the stability she enjoyed as a child smashes head-first into Molly's gloomy comment about wanting to get away from her horrible place of exile.

(Strip Number 4825, Original Publication Date, 29 June 1987)

Panel 1: As she empties the last box of her belongings, Connie tells Elly she hopes to never have to move again.

Panel 2: She reminds Elly that her parents had the same house on the same block for twenty years and would like to give her kids that sort of stability.

Panel 3: As Featherhair McEmo slouches into the room, Elly asks Molly what she thinks of her new home.

Panel 4: Connie rolls her eyes in irritation when Molly slumps away saying that she can't wait to move out.

Summary: Well, she gets her wish in a year and a half or so of being treated like something Connie dug outta her ear. Connie might SAY that she wants to be a mom but her actions speak a lot louder. Also, tomorrow, Connie behaves as if she's the only step-parent not immediately warmed to in the history of ever.
