Snarky Candiru2

Friday, 8 April 2016

John doesn't mind dancing to a nonsense phrase as such; he just objects to Elly doing it and using one he doesn't like.

(Strip Number 1133, Original Publication Date, 10 April 1987)

Panel 1: After the instructor reminds the class that a waltz is simply right-two-three, left-two-three, Elly keeps the meter by chanting Yum-pum-pum.

Panel 2: Her doing so irritates John to no small extent.

Panel 3: He loses his temper and tells her to stop doing that because it's driving him crazy.

Panel 4: When HE keeps the metre by chanting Ya-ta-ta to the beat, she's gobsmacked.

Summary: She shouldn't be. She should remember that he wants to have hand in anything.
