Snarky Candiru2

Monday, 14 March 2016

We return to the wedding arc with Mike finding the idea of there being someone out there meant to marry Lizzie being too horrible for words because it's obvious that anyone who stands in the way of his getting all the attention is totes disgusting.

(Strip Number 4786, Original Publication Date, 26 March 1987)

Panel 1: As Mike's silhouette looks on, Lizzie asks Elly if she thinks she will one day get married; Elly assigns that a high probability.

Panel 2: Lizzie sets up the joke by saying that out there, somewhere, is a kid growing up who will be her husband.

Panel 3: Mike looks at her for a second or two.

Panel 4: He then the door and yells to the hypothetical kid to run while there's still time.

Summary: Sorry, Mike. Just because you have trouble sharing doesn't mean that she should be denied her teal and lavender destiny. Also, expect the dates of the original strips to be all over the map until mid-April owing to Easter.
