Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 11 August 2015

We switch focus to the rescue team's base of operations today as the leader says that they've found John and Phil alive. When he asks Georgia and Elly if they'd like to come with, they signify their assent by bear-hugging him.

(Strip Number 1073, Original Publication Date, 12 August 1986)

Panel 1: We go back to the search and rescue station. As he stands by a radio, the leader of the search team tells Georgia and Elly that a private plane has just spotted two men who somehow managed to get themselves stranded on Unnecessary HardshipCedar Island.

Panel 2: Since it's in the general area of where dumbass Phil told nitwit John to swim for it, it's pretty much certain that they've found their stupid baby-men who had no business playing at being real virile type people.

Panel 3: He then says that they have a float plane ready to pick them up and he asks if Georgia and Elly want to ride along on the Search and Rescue aircraft.

Panel 4: They signify their willingness to do so by hugging him joyfully.

Summary: While the strip itself is about Elly's relief that John is pretty much okay, the notes will be all about how ANGRY Lynn is that Rod scared her (and exposed her to complaints about her cold-bloodedness and glib nature) by doing something foolish and wrong and scary that she would never, ever do.
