Snarky Candiru2

Sunday, 2 August 2015

In today's strip, Annie 'confuses' Elly by stating that while Leah has physical similarities to other members of her family, she is also an individual.

(Strip Number 10923, Original Publication date, 3 August 1986)

Panel 1: Elly tells Annie that while Leah (who's in a green onesie) is still so tiny, she's already changed a lot. Annie agrees to this.

Panel 2: She then sets the tone when she confuses Elly by making an ironic comment about how she's gotta be changed every three hours.

Panel 3: The strip most people will read starts with Annie trying to get Elly to notice that she and Leah have similarly shaped noses.

Panel 4: As she starts to change her, Anne says that Leah has Anne's sister's eyes and her mother's mouth.

Panel 5: Anne's silhouette tells Elly's silhouette that Steve says she's got his feet and his hands (which would explain the polydactyly.)

Panel 6: Anne tells Elly that they're both pretty sure that she has her grandfather's reddish blond hair.

Panel 7: As Annie changes her into a pink onesie, she says that Leah's got her uncle Daryl's ears and grandmother Agnes's eyebrows.

Panel 8: Elly sets up the stupid joke when she asks Anne why she doesn't dress up a cute baby like Leah in pink.

Panel 9: Anne expresses disbelief because everyone dresses their girls in pink.

Panel 10: When she says that she and Steve want to Leah to be an individual, Elly is confused.

Summary: Sadly, the notes will not be about how Elly is too dim to see that just because someone looks like a lot of other people, that doesn't mean that she's somehow an extension of those people. The notes will be about how Lynn somehow blames computers for her own lack of organization skills because she didn't have the original to this one.
