Snarky Candiru2

Friday, 11 July 2014

Now that Elly's got the birdies off of the roof, Lizzie proceeds to lob one into a tree.

(Strip Number 890, Original Publication Date, 12 July 1985)

Panel 1: We find Elly on the ladder telling Mike to hold it steady.

Panel 2: Lizzie asks if she's gotten the birdies off the roof yet.

Panel 3: Having retrieved the six badminton birdies from the roof, Elly hands them to Michael and tells the kids she doesn't want to find any more up there.

Panel 4: Seconds later, a crying Elizabeth immediately gets one stuck in a tree.

Summary: We're probably going to get a Little Lindy show about badminton today about how Ursula was a poor sport about retrieving errant birdies.

Archiving Project Three

For those of you who are paying attention to the archiving project, the third installment of the series is up and ready for your perusal.

Notable revelations:

- Rod's dad was the person who first thought of collecting all of the old strips in a file. Without him, Lynn's innate inertia and lack of concern would mean that the archives would have huge gaps in them.

- Ursula is depicted as a well-meaning amateur instead of a vandal.
