Snarky Candiru2

In today's strip, Mike is evil because he sees through Elly's cute name for one of her patented indigestible leftover-based casseroles.

(Strip Number 746, Original Publication Date, 13 November 1984)

Panel 1: A little while after Michael gets done with not seeing that all must be punished for the misdeeds of a few, he asks Elly what they're having for supper. She smiles as she mixes up something or other and tells him she's making "wait-and-see pudding." (That's Lynnglish for her usual foul-tasting and indigestible sludge.)

Panel 2: She then tells him that her grandmother used to use that line on her when she got more curious as to what's on the menu than a child is allowed to be.

Panel 3: Elizabeth asks Michael if Mommy said what's for dinner; he says she did.

Panel 4: He tells her they're having leftovers.

Summary: We can probably look forward to a Lynnsight that says that children have no business knowing in advance what they're going to eat for supper because WE MOMS don't need to spend hours on end listening to whining from ungrateful children who clearly hate WE MOMS because they don't love WE MOMS enough to choke down things they hate.
