Snarky Candiru2

Now that the plane has touched down, Mike shows his sensitive side by thought-bubbling that goodbyes are always easier when mixed with hellos.

(Strip Number 661, Original Publication Date, 21 July 1984)

Panel 1: Now that Michael has arrived in Vancouver, Vicky the flight attendant reminds him that he's almost at the end of his journey.

Panel 2: She then asks if he wants to say goodbye to her now, or when they get off the plane.

Panel 3: Michael says that he'd like to do that after they get off the plane.

Panel 4: He then thought-bubbles that that's because goodbyes are easier when they are mixed with hellos.

Summary: He's not wrong. I know how big a problem he has saying goodbye to people at this stage of his life and can relate to his attempts to blunt the hurt.
Snarky Candiru2

The latest (ugly) trend.

I just noticed a new feature on the website. Remember how she talked about taking up acrylics as a way to pass the time when she retired? It not only seems as if she was telling the truth, it seems that her muse is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly cats, dogs and birds like this horror monster:

They may not be to my taste but, as howtheduck points out, they're better than most of the stuff she puts out. What this means is that her need to berate her family and show us her vision of the good life has robbed us of a top-flight provider of funny animal art.
