Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 15 June 2013

We end the week with me wishing that Annie would drink a tall, cool glass of STFU; that's because she makes an asinine comment about day care centers that makes Elly think "They never actually call you negligent to your face...."

(Strip Number 633, Original Publication Date, 16 June 1984)

Panel 1: Elly tells Anne that she plans on sending Elizabeth back to playcare tomorrow because she's all better now.

Panel 2: When Elly tells Anne that she's worried about Lizzie spreading the virus to the other kids, Anne tells her to not worry.

Panel 3: This is because Anne says that it's probably where she picked it up in the first place! Since Elly just got another reminder that Anne thinks that she's a negligent parent, she frowns in despair.

Summary: This is yet another reminder that Annie has no clue how much her inability to see that Elly wants more out of life that being Mike's mother or John's wife cuts like a knife. This is because she's Lynn's way of slamming the housewives who can't or won't see that she doesn't have time to spare talking about their irrelevant lives.
