Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 11 May 2013

We end the week with John making a smart remark about how Mike has to learn music notation like he's "supposed" to. We also begin the inevitable death spiral because Mike's brain cannot process musical notation any more than it can decipher mathematics.

(Strip Number 612, Original Publication Date: 12 May 1984):

Panel 1: We start things off with John asking Michael how Phil thinks his trumpet lessons are going.

Panel 2: Michael mutters "Okay, I guess" before talking about how he laments having to learn music theory and notation.

Panel 3: Since he finds that to be too much like confusing math and evil numbers, he asks John why he simply can't just play by ear.

Panel 4: It's Mike's turn to be blindsided by the predictable when John replies by making a smart-alecky comment about how it leaves a bad taste on the mouthpiece.

Summary: My guess is that we're in for either another installment of the Little Lynnie Show or Aaron being raked over the coals for being unmotivated. Either way, we're in for something ugly.
