Snarky Candiru2

Thursday, 9 May 2013

The micro-arc ends on a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrry unsettling note; that's because we have Lizzie is so happy to be praised for the nice grave she and Mike made that she wants John to squish more helpless creatures who make the mistake of frightening him.

(Strip Number 610, Original Publication Date, 10 May 1984)

Panel 1: As our story continues, we find Michael and Elizabeth kneeling by a little tiny grave. Gordon comes by and asks what they are doing and Mike says that they're having a funeral.

Panel 2: They explain that their daddy just squashed a caterpillar an'they're burying it. Gordon says "Oh."

Panel 3: He tells them that it looks really neat with the little stones around it an'flowers an'everything.

Panel 4: Lizzie freaks the holy living Hell out of Gordo, Mike and pretty much most of the people reading the strip when she smiles and says "Let's go see if he'll squash somethin' else!!" in an upbeat, enthusiastic voice.

Summary: While I'm glad that Lynn has finally had people get gobsmacked when they're chuffing well supposed to be, I'm dreading her creepy-ass Little Lynnie Show about burying all the creepy crawlies that she made into pets over the years.
