Snarky Candiru2

Thursday, 23 August 2012

In today's strip, we get to see why John feels the need to lord it over his family. Simply put, he could be a lot happier as a dentist if only he didn't have to deal with people.

(Strip Number 4362, Original Publication Date, 25 August 1983)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the dental clinic where a man I'll call Mister Figrin asks John if he can see him now because he's got an emergency toothache.

Panel 2: John tells Figrin that he missed two appointments last week and the previous day, John waited through his lunch hour for No Show Dan.

Panel 3: As the Muzak system plays a cover of "Mad about me" by the Modal Nodes in the background, John tells Figrin that his schedule is pretty tight but he'll see if he can fit him in between his next two patients.

Panel 4: Since our boy is the sort of guy who only looks after his teeth when they hurt, he's baffled at having to wait and says so.

Summary: I don't know what the Lynnsight will be but know what it should be about: patients who think that the world revolves around their needs.
