Snarky Candiru2

Mike asks Elly how much room there is at Exile Farm; the reason he does so is that John told him that he and Lizzie would have to stay in the barn with the other animals.

(Strip Number 430, Original Publication Date, 27 June 1983)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike asking Elly if she's sure that Uncle Danny an'Aunt Bev will have room for all of them at their place.

Panel 2: As she puts the dishes away, she reassures him by saying that they live in a big old farmhouse with lots of rooms.

Panel 3: Mike says that that means that Daddy lied when he said that he and Lizzie would have to stay in the barn with the rest of the animals. Having John's hateful remark repeated back to him astonishes Elly.

Summary: It really shouldn't, though. John seems to live under the misapprehension that he is put on this Earth to amuse himself at the expense of others. When called on it, he acts like a spoiled brat wailing his fool head about how he has a right to talk so asking to think about the feelings of others is negating his freedom. He still is that yapping ten year old moaning that being asked to think about other people is like being castrated; he just has more money. Not that Kool-Aid Nation see that; either they think it was all in fun (which means they're oblivious) or they agree with him (which means that they're vermin.)
