Snarky Candiru2

John really makes things worse this time; after all, you'd have to be a total wally to think that you can tell a smug, irrational idiot she's being a smug, irrational idiot and walk away safely.

(Strip Number 4270, Original Publication Date, 5 January 1982)

Panel 1: As Elly continues to frown in silence, John tells her "All right, be angry with me! But if you think that not talking is going to clear things up, you're wrong!"

Panel 2: As she makes that smug closed-eyes gesture of smug hostility, he then asks what is he supposed to do. Is he to make up her half of the conversation.

Panel 3: His pantomiming "Oh, John, you're right! I've been such a fool!" angers her to the point where she looks like she's about to burst.

Summary: Since Elly has no sense of proportion, humor or what's actually going on around her, John can look forward to being yelled at for trying to get a prima donna to simmer the Hell down.

The Podcast for 3 January 2012

Now that the offices have re-opened, we can expect to see more of the props and pictures Lynn used as reference material. Given how misshapen Shimsaa and the rabbits are, I expect to see that the perfect cats and rabbits have "Made in Taiwan" stamped on the bottom.

ETA: Close....they actually say 'Made in Malaysia'! In any event, we finally get 'the perfect cat': an ugly, misshapen statue that looks little like a real cat. (Hint: she doesn't actually use a Pinkie Pie toy as her horse reference but she comes damned close.)
