Snarky Candiru2

Wednesday, 28 December 2011

Lynn makes the witty and surprising observation that small children don't like fancy food.

(Strip Number 360, Original Publication Date, 29 December 1982)

Panel 1: We find Lawrence and Mike looking at the hors d'oeuvres Elly plans to serve for her fancy New Years' Eve thing; Lawrence asks him what all that stuff is and Mike says that it's what Elly plans to serve her guests.

Panel 2: Lawrence sticks his tongue out in disgust because he's confused and horrified by the fact that she wants to serve her guests oysters, liver paste, stinky cheese and other yukky foods that adults yell at small children for not liking.

Panel 3: Mike surmises that she must not want them to eat much.

Summary: We should prepare ourselves for a Lynnsight predicated on the notion that small children are too stupid to appreciate sophisticated foodstuffs; this is because Lynn doesn't seem to understand that developing palates naturally prefer bland foods.
