Snarky Candiru2

Monday, 21 November 2011

We begin the week with Lynn more or less regurgitating a conversation from either her own childhood or one she had with Aaron about the need of the older sibling to give way to the younger. Since she's a nasty idiot, she has him whine about not being able to win when it's so easy to do.

(Strip Number 344, Original Publication Date, 22 November 1982)

Panel 1: We start the week off with Mike hogging the dominoes, panicky-looking Lizzie reaching for them with her splayed, tentacle fingers and Elly yelling for him to give the dominoes back to her.

Panel 2: We next see him playing a board game with Lizzie; Elly's disembodied head tells him that if he's going to do that, he'll always have to let her win.

Panel 3: It would appear that he threw a bit of a fit in between panels; that's because she's sending him a You-message about he has to share and give in because he's the biggest.

Panel 4: He thought-bubbles that it's no fun being the biggest.

Summary: Since Mike is an imbecile who never really learned to look through other people's eyes, he never really figured out that what really isn't fun is being the smallest. Sure, there's the stereotype of the baby of the family getting special treatment but that's kind of necessary because cretins like Mikey-Girl take out their frustrations on targets of convenience like Lizzie.
