Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 8 November 2011

In today's strip, we see Mike's mental processes at work; we also see that he's had the same level of understanding of humanity since he was seven.

(Strip Number 337, Original Publication Date, 9 November 1982)

Panel 1: We start off with Mike smiling as he writes the phrase "Sum kids got lost but wer found; The end."

Panel 2: Elly's disembodied head tells him that he was supposed to write a short story and that his teacher will never accept this.

Panel 3: She gets gobsmacked when he tells her that he can't make it any shorter.

Summary: Elly never did really get that he's internalized her own poor study habits, did she? Since children learn from their parents' example, he grew up thinking that being a malingering git whining about overwork is normal and good.
