Snarky Candiru2

Monday, 24 October 2011

You'll notice that today's strip is all about how Mike is a lazy loafer who doesn't like raking leaves instead of the thing about the costume; according to Steph, they tweaked things a bit to get the Halloween strip to run on Halloween.

(Strip Number 333, Original Publication Date, 3 November 1982)

Panel 1: As our story continues, we find Lawrence reaching out to grab some autumn leaves and asking Mike to agree how neat they are.

Panel 2: He then marvels because he never thought that they could turn such bright colors.

Panel 3: Mike says that he doesn't think that they're all that wonderful; Lawrence asks why that is.

Panel 4: Mike tells him  that he has to rake them.

Summary: Lynn seems to have been landed with the notion that the odd little not-yet-humans that make their cruel, unfair and evil demands on her time simply need to be put to work in order to be acceptable company; that should cure them of their love of toys she has to pick up and make them too tired to ask hateful, hurtful questions like "Do you love me at all?" or "Why do you flee in disgusted horror whenever I'm around?"

The new format and you.

As you might have already seen, Stephanie has recently seen fit to simply the homepage. The first change is rather obvious; instead of the buttons for each menu having a character associated with them, they're now blocks of a solid color with labels in a rather standard sans-serif font. We have as follows "Strip Fix" in orange, "Comics Archive" in sky blue, "Characters" in green, "Play Games" in gold, "Fun Stuff" in red, "Behind the scenes" in violet, "Shop" in yellow and "Explore More" in darker blue. The one thing we no longer have is "Classic Content"; that's because the older Liographies have been migrated to the expanded character pages.
