Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 22 October 2011

We end the visit with Anne with her complaining about people who only love things after they no longer have to do them.

(Strip Number 324, Original Publication Date, 23 October 1982)

Panel 1: As she holds a crying Richard and as Christopher tries to dock with her like a barnacle because he confuses a need to defend someone defenseless with favoritism, Anne tells Elly "Boy, your life changes after one baby comes along but two is something else."

Panel 2: As she watches Christopher putting Anne in a headlock so he can convince her to put that baby down so he can be the center of attention like he's supposed to be, Elly tells her that these baby years go by so fast so she should enjoy them while she can.

Panel 3: Anne asks why it is that the people who love this stage the most are those whose kids have passed through it.

Summary: What she should also ask is why someone she knows never really seems to have time for her children is giving advice on kids in the first place; it's like asking her for cooking tips or hints on how to organize her time.
