Snarky Candiru2

Thursday, 6 October 2011

Mike's yearning for the younger brother he wouldn't have gotten along with in the first place so he should flipping well get over his stupid-ass self and apologize to Elizabeth (preferably by publicly committing suicide in the most dehumanizing fashion conceivable) for treating her like shit for being a woman leads to Lawrence being a mouthpiece for Lynn's effed-up beliefs about only children.

(Strip Number 4241, Original Publication Date, 7 October 2011)

Panel 1: We find Mike and Laurence sitting on the back porch. Mike starts things off by asking Lawrence if he's seen Christopher's new brother; Lawrence hasn't.

Panel 2: Mike whines about wanting a kid brother; Lawrence reminds him he's got a sister.

Panel 3: Lawrence reminds Mike that he's also got a dog before pointing out that it's just him and Connie at Casa Poirier.

Panel 4: He then whinges about how hard it is to be the only person to blame stuff on.

Summary: Not only do we have to deal with Lynn's depiction of children as being opportunistic bastards who live to keep Mommy from enjoying life because they're selfish and needy and hate her and why, oh, why do they want her to die old and alone and forgotten, we're also hip deep in her love of depicting only children as even worse than those of the only right family cluster: one boy and one girl.
