In today's strip, Mrs Walsh assigns Elly the library column that will lead her to becoming a glorified temp with delusions of grandeur; it's not much but it allows her to indulge her fantasies of having her marriage erased in a continuity-wide reboot.

(Strip Number 4223, Original Publication Date, 15 September 1982)

Panel 1: Now that we're at the interview proper, we find Mrs Walsh telling Elly that she knows that her interest is writing and she hopes that she'll handle their library corner segment.

Panel 2: She then goes on to that she knows that this column doesn't sound like much of a challenge but starts to explain what it entails.

Panel 3: As she does so, Elly thought-bubbles "Lois Lane, eat your heart out!"

Summary: It's nice to see that Elly is getting something out of this aside from time for herself; too bad that her idiot ogre of a husband thinks things are worthless unless someone gets paid. Worse still that she has to defame Rod by assigning to him an attribute the reverse of what he believes.

The Podcast for 13 September 2011

Today's podcast is Lynn's semi-coherent take on the Humor Project. Given that she seems to have been interested in the thing, it's almost comprehensible.

Also, Lynn will be appearing at the Montreal ComicConhttp://fborfw.com/news/2011/09/meet-lynn-at-montreal-comiccon-sept-17th-and-18th.php this coming weekend. On Saturday Lynn will be opening the Toon Boom (Garfield's Comic Boom) presentation at 12:30pm with a brief talk about cartooning. From 3-4:30pm she'll be available for a book signing at the Toon Boom booth. On Sunday Lynn will be signing books from 11-12:30 and will repeat her talk at 2:30. If you're in the area, stop in and say hello! (That being said, she's going to have competition for attention: competition in the form of six ponies and a chimera who might actually be Q given that it's John de Lancie voicing the character.)
