Snarky Candiru2

Friday, 22 January 2010

If yesterday's New-Ruin taught us anything, it's that we're probably going to spend today and tomorrow watching Michael remind us that he's not especially delicate nor anything like a genius; what he is is an incredibly average little boy who has an inflated reputation as being brilliant because his mother won't admit that she herself is even dumber than he is.

I wish; we've got Elly whining about how bad her life is again.

Panel 1: As Elly dries the dishes, John tells her "I must say that you've been awfully good to Connie, El."

Panel 2: As he picks up Farley and she Lizzie, he reminds us why: she listens to Connie, looks after Lawrence and looks after her house.

Panel 3: As she tucks Mike in and Lizzie docks with him, he says that she's a very reliable and true friend.

Panel 4: She whines that she wishes she had a friend like her.

Here's a thought, Elly: make more than two friends! Better yet, get over yourself and quit thinking that the world owes you a living.

ETA: The latest banner is a punny look at winter.

NY Times Crossword

I saw over at Comics Curmudgeon that Lynn Johnston made it into the New York Times crossword puzzle. 58 down.

Would anyone have access to it, and report back what the hint was?

Or will she publish the news about it herself?
