Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 9 January 2010

We sort of already know what we're in for today so I'd like to share a magic word of my own: Yuck. It's bad enough knowing what we're in for without people wondering if Lynn might actually change things too much; the only way she will is to make Phil and John into worse people.

Panel 1: We start today's proceedings with Connie, having caught Lawrence and Mike in the act of smoking Phil's pipe. yelling "Hold it right there, you two."

Panel 2: As she holds the pipe by the bowl, thereby burning her hand and increasing her aggravation, Lawrence points at Mike and hurriedly explains "It's not my fault! It's Mike's!! His uncle Phil forgot his pipe an' we just...."

Panel 3: As she asks "This is Phil's pipe?", valentine hearts appear in the air indicating her mad love for the dude.

Panel 4: I'm going to get in a bit of bother for saying this but I don't see her glasses as having steamed over; what I see is eyes that have grown so large, they take up all the space behind the lenses. In any event, Mike tells Lawrence that he must have said a magic word.

Summary: I think that in all the commotion of Connie getting all hearts and flowers about how Phil's mental lapse is somehow an omen that he and she were meant to be, we've forgotten that when push comes to shove, Lawrence is as ready to sell Mike out as he is to dare him to do stupid stuff.
